Hmmm. well I can say for certain that the 2.010 -12 manual is circlipped and splined, not bolted. Interesting on the gear ratio being so high in the auto, it's an 8 speed for 2013 right?

I wish I could have gotten a 4.10 for my 3.8 the thing would rip. I'm going to test my torque break rating on my LSD soon. I know it works because I get horrible bounce when it engages, but I feel like it's kinda low. Can't get off of ice easily, even with the parking brake engaged. Little disappointing that it's not more helpful for that.

I picked up a 2013 Lsd to install in my 2012 base, like mentioned above ^^^ the axel input/output is different between the different years. I have the "splined" type axles and the 2013 diff has the "bolt up" type.

can I just buy 2013 axel shafts and install them with the 2013 diff, on my 2012 base?

any info is greatly appreciated !!!!

I'm pretty sure you can, I don't see why not. However, make sure you can return them if they don't fit for any weird reason. The size should be the same, but the ends of the axles are what matter most.

i just want to add to this thread. I just purchased a 2013 lsd auto diff from a donor rspec with only 4000 miles on it. the price was way less than a quaff lsd same as OP paid. Also being a direct swap makes it way cheaper in the end. Ever since I read this thread and knowning that $2000+ was way out of my league for new lsd +install. I kept an eye out for lsd pumpkins on the bay. Didnt take long. Thanks OP for all the info

ive been looking for weeks and I still cant find any specs on the 10-12 axles and the 13axles.

I may just have to buy the 13 axles and see if they fit in my 12 :(

gonna suck buying them and tearing apart my rear end just to find out that the 13axles aren't compatible in a 12.

any suggestions b4 I go this route?

Perhaps check the part numbers at a dealership to see if they are the same.

Another option is just take one side off and see if the one at the dealer is identical.

You should be able to, but I don't know anyone who's tried.

The 2013-2014 2.0T Auto LSD part # is 53080-25000 and it's $1584.10 from the dealership. You can probably get it for $1200 off Amazon or Hyundaiparts.

There are no 2013-2014 A/T 2.0Ts that have an LSD from the factory, only the R-Spec has it, if it's an A/T LSD then it's from a 3.8 Track/Ultimate.

I meant this is the A/T LSD that will fit the 2.0Ts A/T models. IT took about 1 hr from the parts dept of the dealership to figure this out.

if anyone wants to buy a nonlsd 3.91 gear and put lsd in, mines listed on ebay no reserve.
It'd be perfect for a 3.8 with the gears being shorter but not too shrt

Reviving this tread to get a question answered that was asked before, but didn't seem to get answered.

I have a 2013 2.0t manual base, so could I use a pumkin from any year manual lsd 2.0 or 3.8 as long it was a manual too?

Thanks,

No, 2010-2012 manuals use the spline axles, you'll want a 13+ pumpkin from an R-Spec or Track/Ultimate which have the bolt up axles.

Or, you could buy a 2010-2012 pumpkin, remove the diff and transplant it into your car.

Well that is a bad news for me....was planning to buy a 3.77 LSD pumkin witch only comes on 10-12 gen auto track.
