Reading that a new coupe won't come until the 2020 timeframe is what made me jump and grab the 2016 ultimate I just did. I was trying to wait for a 2017 model, but I guess that just isn't going to happen.

At 81k miles mine runs like a top. I detest spending a lot of money on a car that gets beat to death on Pennsylvania roads. Right now, if I need to replace my Gen any time soon, Hyundai has nothing to offer me. Out of stubborn principal I won't buy a luxury brand of any sort. I hate to say it, but at present the Toybaru twins or the Miata / Fiata twins would be where I might go for new wheels if somebody runs into me.

Have just 550 miles on my MT 2016 Ibiza blue/black GC Ultimate. Any chance my vehicle might become sought after? :D

Not sure what I would transition into though... :(

No but that color is sought after by many gen owners

The only thing that will help this platform become "sought after" is if there becomes a tuning apparatus that allows full stand-alone like control of the ecu with an easy to use and operate interface, which in turn will make the platform have better results/potential for modding which will draw more people into wanting them. Something like youd see with the DSMs; Mitsubishi axed the platform, while the aftermarket found out its insane potential and then the cars became sought after for hardcore modders.

Well q60 is released but not yet the 400hp version. they've priced themselves in the M4 neighborhood and it seems unlikely they can flourish there.
aside from the "all bmw drivers are jerks" thing, the main drawback to bmw is that the dealer is across town.
just realized that the guys who tuned my gc actually specialize in bmw main stream service.
i liked them a lot. free plug: "German Car Specialists" https://www.mygermancarsa.com
still loving the gc but the plastic parts are starting to degrade...

Itll be mid $50's and Nissan is sandbagging the BHP, making closer to minimum 450 at the crank. Q50S 3.0L AWD Turbo already ran a 12.8 at 117mph.

not too mention it wont be long before youll be able to tune it to get a few more ponies out of it. I am definitely looking into the q60 performance version as my next car.

If only hyundai hadnt made it so impossible to unlock the ecu, there was a lot of potential to be had.

yeah if i keep it another year i'll update the map. google's better but it's just nice to have the big map in the dash.

remains to be seen if q60 s will be automatic only. not ready to give up manual yet... always afraid i'll absent mindedly slam on the brakes with the left foot.

back in non-bourgeoisie world... ford has a canned tune for the mustang. i could put electrical tape over the make believe p51 "features"...
apparently the camaro nanny can be disabled without too much trouble.

It don't have to be on genesismotorsusa.com. It's just a sketch on official instagram page
And it's definitely not 2017 model.

somebody in a mustang forum says he can get 30 mpg highway in a shelby with hypermiling. i could let myself have one if i can say i *can* get 30...

That's a waste of a Shelby. But it is pretty good to know, I see people with 5.0's claim they get mid 20's driving conservatively. I get that now with a dinky 2.0.

Yeah, not many even for sale where I live, maybe 2 or 3 across my province right now. But when they do go up for sale, used examples sell in a heartbeat. And dealerships can't keep them on the lots. Got 2 up on the lot now with sold signs in the windows. Hahaha.
