I'll be on these forums a lot. I hope to build one of the best Genesis Coupe's out there. :) I have built a nice 04 Tib.... if you live in Cali and go to HIN... you would have seen my car there :)

I've been interested in the Genesis since I saw pics of the orange show car. My Scion is acceptable, but I'm sick and tired of FWD and 4k revs at 80mph. I want an honest-to-god sportscar that makes me smile enough to forget that my fiance left me a couple of days before I turned 30. Lol.

I hope to be the first person in my hometown of York to scare a salesman while testdriving a Genesis.

What caught me off guard about this car is that its the closest thing ive seen to what I drive now. Essentially I will be able to get a new Merkur, but made by hyundai!
And definently will be going for the 4, way more potential there.

im considering either a genesis coupe v6 with the 19"s and brembos, or a bmw 128i coupe. i graduate next year and thought that a new car might be a nice grad gift to myself

Ditto on the grad gift. Finishing college in a few weeks. Was looking to replace my 98 Camaro this summer, but after coming across the Genesis couple, I think I'll be waiting until early 09.

2004 Nissan Sentra Spec-V with I/H/E, wheels, ect.

The genesis V6 sounds interesting. I would have to say its in the top 5 on my list for the next year or 2. We'll have to see the reviews when it comes out and how it compares to the camaro, mustang, 350z, and ralliart. Of course taking into consideration performance, price, cost to own, price of gas, ect...

very excited about the genesis coupe. in fact, i just like all the hyundai vehicles. i dont know what it is but they all appeal to me from the accent to their suv's. it upsets me to read all the posts on the net stating that hyundais are pieces of #$%!

currently drive an 05 gs 5spd tiburon with intake and exhaust. i love the tib and it sounds great for a i4, but boy it is slow. always thought of going FI, but worry b/c it is my daily driver to the tune of several hundred miles a week. although, the s/c kit from nextgen looks appealing.

the 4cyl genesis sounds great except for the weight. if it came in at 3000lbs??? (i love the light feeling of my tib) it seems that to get it going much faster than my tib i'd have to start modding from the get go.

thinking of buying the genesis for a third car that the wife would mostly drive, keeping the miles off of our avalanche for truck duties. only problem is she does not want to drive a manual. so, the 6cyl seems a better choice. she's always liked the g35 which everyone compares it to; i think the genesis looks even better. admittedly, there'd be times that i'd dream of a std in the 6cyl.

anyone know if they plan to ever make a convertible coupe? i thought i read a rumor or two on the net or in a car mag of a possible convertible. that would seal the deal with my wife. heck, even a targa top could cut the deal!

greatly looking forward to more details in the future.
