This is just the first (and I hope only) solicitation for Genesis owners in Virginia Beach & Northern NC. I am interested in having Jay and his tema come down and reflash a few 3.8's vice us driving up there for the work to be done. If your interested please reply to this thread so we can get some cars lined up (5-7) and make it worth their while to come down. Thanks and happy driving!!

I'm interested, but what's the cost and hp gains? Need to see if it's worth the cost and effort.

Cool, so far that's 3 of us!! Their are several posts on the 3.8 tech page of people that have had the flash and are totally in love with it. Throttle response, mid range torque and some other things. I havent seen anyone post that they were disappointed!! We need a few more poeple! Plus we need to try to organize out own get together!
Viginia Beach is about 6 hours (1 way) driving for us.
I would say if we get 6+ cars, we will be there.
It will be only canned tune and 1 day event..
Let's make it happened!

We've done 5+ cars from VA area and these customers can chime in and maybe give them better ideas :)
Thanks
how's your tune for the base 2.0's 5at? any one report problems? what would pricing be. and to be honest, i'd rather drive up there, it's a much shorter drive for me haha.
Come to Northern Virginia and have them people at the beach come up.
Virginia Beach or Northern Virginia, I'm interested. Count me in.
Reg price is $550 for 2.0T and $650 but we are still offering the canned tune service @ $400

Nope no problem!
We don't use some random basedata but modify your own 100% stock original data.

Location/date have not set yet.. but sure we will find a spot that is best for everyone.

Sure sir.
If I missed anyone, please add yourself on the list

Also so you know, I will be in Korea until mid March so this reflash tour will be after that.
I would say let's shoot for March 20th (Sunday), 2011
Thanks!

Hey Jay how much for custom tune if doing it from the previous tune? I dont' remember if you did custom on mine or not lol. If so, would it be worth it to do so base on just bolts on (intake and exhaust? - wow not so much for 3.8 auto lol).
this will only be canned tunes again? If thats the case I'll keep my money. So why have you guys only been doing canned tune tours lately?

It was a canned tune since you did not go on the dyno.
I am sure we can squeeze bit more out, but it won't be much from Naturally Aspired engine... and this is for canned tune only.

You will more likey never get your car tuned then.
This is no brainer and I've already answered many times why we are doing canned tune only @ most of locations.
We've doing plenty of custom tunes recently @ Puerto Rico trips and few other places but that's because we had a full access to a dyno where shop does not try to charge everyone for using their parking lot or charge a flat rate for a whole day.
Most of time, dyno shops are not open on the Sundays (if it's held on Sunday) and try to have their useless employees to come out and they have to pay them.
Also not all the people are willing to pay $550-$600 (for the first hour and +$250-300 per/hr) for 2-3 hours of tuning session.
Yet custom tune does not make a big big of difference in a first place when we are applying the tune that we've collected/made so far on the dyno for the cars with similar set up, and ECU learns and adjust things by itself anyways.
So unless we don't have at least 4-5 cars willing to do custom tunes and have a dyno place, it will be canned tune for everyone.

Cmon guys, we only need 2-3 more cars and we are set for March. Let's do this!!!!
I don't care if its NORVA or VAB I juST wanna get this done. It will save us all a trip if we just decide where we wanna do it. We already have 4 cars all we need is one or two more. Tell your friends and let's get this done!!!!
Come to Northern Virginia and have them people at the beach come up.
So you're down if we set it up in NoVA? You and coolkhas would make it 6. Lemme or Jay know!!
Location for me does not matter as long as everyone is happy with it.
Everyone need to negotiate on driving time and expect somewhere 1-1.5 hr of driving because driving back will be A LOT OF FUN!
Actually, Im kind of double thinking it... I'm not really wanting to just settle for the canned tune. Im willing to pay extra to get on a dyno and get fully tuned.
