Hey guys, Just joined the bk2 “group” I have a few mods under the hood but im looking to invest in some coilovers. Any recommendations?
Take your own advice, and watch your self,...........................Im not any kind of expert but people have had great experiences running coilovers for our platform. I wouldn't cheap out but if you do your research you can find what you are looking for.
Here is a old link but it may point you in the right direction.

FYI watch out for the crap that there people offer you as advice in this forum because to say that coilovers stink is very narrow minded and shows lack of any kind of knowledge on the subject.
Good luck

Like I said....CrapTake your own advice, and watch your self,...........................
Anything I spew on here will be the result of SME advice,..(not my own). Or more importantly experiential knowledge.
1. Fact, lowering these cars with non-specific engineered replacements results in reduced driving dynamics.
2.Fact. Newer guys like the one above, look to do things that tend to be common place, but not necessarily in the best result.
3. Fact . Most coil overs are made for slamm-aholic drivers. Lowering is the key goal. Not driving dynamics.
4. Fact. Even the cheapest ass coilovers are way more expensive than the "truly engineered" Bilstein replacements.
5. I have plenty of actual experience with coilovers, the most expensive I could find.(It was for a VT turbo). They stink. You can adjust the crap out of them, but they still stink.
Please express a counter point..............But check yourself,..dont try to lecture me BRAHH !!!
Take your wokeness somewhere else, my advice is to give him the best driving dynamics for not so much money.
So lets be honest with the fella:
1. If you want to slam, slam, lower, get funky camber stuff, spacers and junk. It will look cool, but its a dam death trap at high speeds, (over like 70).
2. Do as I am advising, it doesnt cost that much, its easy to do. Yes your car whatever model it is will drive better, actually better, more responsive, safer. That's not my opinion that's from a Hyundai expert.
Lol, wasn't quartermaster banned from here?Im not any kind of expert but people have had great experiences running coilovers for our platform. I wouldn't cheap out but if you do your research you can find what you are looking for.

So the Hyundai tech expert chimes in. Go ahead and give your expert advice that i have never followed. You spend all day long on this forum talking bs. Why don't you give this guy some advice instead of going after me. I will make it simple for you....Go f**k yourself Hyundai tech expert.Lol, wasn't quartermaster banned from here?
I find it funny that he has a site dedicated for a platform that is 5 years discontinued.
I don't think I ever claimed to be a "hyundai expert" and never have I worked for hyundai. So the Hyundai tech expert chimes in. Go ahead and give your expert advice that i have never followed. I really don't know why you think you have to try and explain to me that you have absolutely no experience at all in the automotive industry because that has always been apparent with you.So the shell cracks and the true nature comes out. AKGC always gives sound guidance. I've never seen him lose his cool either.
Notice when challenged, I give specific fact points. Our friend here gives expletives and insults. Our friend gives or tries to defend broad statements. I give personal experience and SME advice (not from me).
-I am not a Hyundai tech
-I am not the Hyundai expert.-
-My friend Matt is, A highly trained Ford and Hyundai/Genesis master tech gas engine/EV/Hybrid with over 18 years experience. He owns his own repair business now.
I did give him advice,...you wanted to poo-poo it. I got more specific as to why I gave said advice. You lost your mind.
"Drop mic.. leaves". Lmaooooo only a egotistical self centered pathetic excuse of a man would say something like that....Good jobOk internet hero.......................................(The cursing just makes it)
**I sure the heck am not explaining it you, its for the other weekend warriors reading.
As you pointed out. The BS I post is not my own, is from actual SME's, for the other weekend warriors that might want to know.
Hence its not my advice its SME's, hence its has nothing to do with "myself" as you put it. Your own arguments discredit your self. Maybe he doesn't "come at you", (AK) maybe he just offers a counter point without judging you as an individual or as in your mind,.... a self proclaimed expert. AK and I often have differing options, but he always has the best intrest of answering the question at hand as I do, for us its not a zero sum equation.
I am not full of myself, I am however full of my Gen, and all the SME's that got her where she is,................which is quite the badass in every way. You can hate the personality,....but the car is defacto a monster, and gorgeous, and reliable, and fun.(the whole point of this forum).
So we have digressed.
To sum up the OPs query, he can either:
1. Listen to your blowhard general based summation from one angle with opinion only.
2. Or he can listen to someone with actual experience with the equipment he is inquiring about, AND the equipment he is recommending.(which costs less).
Drops mic,......leaves.
