I got one of these off AliExpress for around $120. It is similar to the other plug and play accelerator modifiers. It's great. It makes the acceleration from low speeds dramatically different. Makes the car much more pleasurable to drive.

Install is straight forward and not hard. Worst thing is getting the OE connector off the pedal. I used a needle nose vise grips adjusted to just apply pressure on the locking tabs but not crush the connector. You need a 10 mm socket to get the bolt out so you can lift the pedal off a hook and turn it around to get to the connector. But once off the furnished module plugs right in. Just make sure the wires are not in the way

It has 6 levels and a bypass setting. Three of the levels are for an automatic and three others for a manual. Each level has multiple settings which increase the effectiveness of the module. One level is ECO mode which I did not use, might be good as a somewhat valet mode though. The second level is a bit subdued and the to top level when tuned to 9 is a beast.

It was raining last night and I set it on the subdued 5 setting.

It does not change deceleration, it does not really change the action when at higher rpms. But taking off from idle or under 2000 rpm it can be quite dramatic as to how much faster the throttle opens.

I would guess this is good for a tenth or so at the 1/4 mile just from the 60 ft times.

Thanks for the review. I've been following the sprint booster thread and heard about the Tros - been wanting to get more reviews from people on how it is. Do you have a manual or automatic? I plan on purchasing one in a few weeks hopefully.

Cool, I have the Sprint V3 and love it, no complaints but I would have gone with the Tros just for the substantialy cheaper price as I dont use the lock or valet modes and just keep mine cranked up to race 9 mode all the time. Still I dontregret the purchace, the thing really works.

I just bought the Tros for my 2013 manual transmission for about $120. It was a breeze to install. The results are pretty impressive but the highest setting is way too aggressive. I am still fine tuning the right level for me but the throttle response is impressive. Definitely worth the upgrade. Time will tell regarding quality. Cheers.

Red, did you order the TS-988 model (6-Drive)?

Also, there appears to be a 9-Drive model now, the TP-988.

Are these only sold from AliExpress?

Where did you guys end up installing the black module that connects to the pedal? I have mine secured via zip ties to keep it out of the way on the right side of the pedal, but wasn't sure if there is a better way to secure it.

I tried out the ECO3 level setting as I am about out of gas last night. It severely reduces the throttle input and you cannot even go WOT at that setting.

It seems what this does is the same as OE sport mode programs but is much more variable. I was on the aggressive tune FH3 and it was too much, even the FH1 was too jerky from a stop. So I went back to the HH levels and ran it all the way to HH9. It seems the change going to the FH 1-9 mode is just a continuation of the HH 1-9, taking up after HH9.

Hard to find any documentation on line but this is the best there is. https://www.aliexpress.com/store/product/Potent-Booster-II-6-Drive-Electronic-Throttle-Controller-Ultra-thin-Dedicated-with-a-dedicated-interface-free/903180_763594136.html

So it looks like they make a more simple version too. Not as much adjustability, but pretty clean looking.
Our model would be the CT-988.

There are a few other G (I suppose for generation) versions on their site. With different amounts of drive modes.

Thanks to his thread I purchased a potent booster. installed into my stock 2013 2.0t manual, only mods blow off valve vented and some extra holes drilled into lower part of airbox all done for throttle response not power.

I don't know how this works but for my purposes it works great. I won't use the f settings because it is for lack of a better word turning the throttle into the equivalent of a 1/4 turn throttle on a motorcycle and makes the car much much to touchy for my liking, but using the hh3 or hh4 settings totally helps nullify the dead spot that the throttle has when taking off from a stop and makes it much more consistent. I always found the stock throttle action would change from day to day for no aparent reason, I attributed it to the aligment of the planets. I wish I would have purchased one of these years ago.
