I have a 2010 genesis coupe 3.8 and there is whining noise coming from the engine bay. Thought it was the idler pulley and I just replaced it and didn’t seem to solve the issue. Kind of sounds like a supercharger. The noise is at lower rpm and in reverse. Still makes noice when ac is off as well.

Take the belt off and start it. Is the noise still there?

I doesn’t make the sound when idling. It makes a sound when I’m starting to take off in first gear and reverse.
