I have a bk2 with 8 speed AT. I used Hyundai Red1k fluid instead of SP-IV RR. Do I need to have a flush performed or will I be okay If I do another drain and fill. I kept seeing everyone mention Red 1k and it got stuck in my head. I'm not sure how good the specs are on the Red1k fluid.

if you didn't start the engine, then just drain and fill with the correct fluid.

If you have, then you will need to cycle it out, since by then it will be in the torque converter.
The torque converter itself doesn't care what find of fluid is in it, but the valve body and and clutch packs is where the fluid really matters.

It's already started and I actually ran it hard a few times, maybe 10 miles hard and 75 miles normal. I hope everything will be okay, feels fine driving and shifting. I stopped driving it now and will have to drive it to Level 10 transmissions an hour away from me to have them flush and fill it. I can't believe I made such a stupid mistake. Sometimes hearing all the stuff on forums can get you into trouble I guess. Glad I caught it sooner than later.
