Question No horn / No lights when I lock my car ???

I do not know what could have caused this but when i lock my carů usually the horn goes off to indicate its alarm is on, but i get none of that. Same with flashing lights and they don't flash either, but the doors all lock. please help, any ideals on what can fix this would be a big help

Could be completely off base, but check your trunk. I know mine does exactly this if the trunk is unlatched. If it is latched, could be a faulty sensor or something, but that's a complete guess. Could also be some ice or something stuck in there, given that you're in Ontario. That happened to me more than once.

Check that your hood switch is working properly,(driver side fender) make sure the rubber stop is still there and aligned with the switch it might be missing.(on hood)

Do this: open your driver side window all the way down, close your door, then lock your doors with your key fob(might have to hit the lock button twice) wait 15secound, reach inside your open driver side window and manually unlock the door from the inside. Then using your outside door handle open your driver door. The alarm/horn should start beeping. If it doesn't set the alarm off this means that one of the doors/hood/truck switch is open when you are setting the alarm. The alarm will not set if one of these is open.

Bring it in to your dealer they can tell whitch switch is not working properly with the GDS. Also there is some settings with in the Body control module to turn some functions on or off.

^ This, except we don't need to use the GDS. If all doors are locking, then it's the hood lid pad went missing (most often the cause of failure) or the switch malfunctioned. Never seen the trunk latch fail on a coupe, but there could be a first time for everything.

Drive side fender half way up under the hood is where the switch is. The bump stop is on the hood.

I noticed my car doing this ever since I got my carbon trunk could that have something to do with it?

If your genn is under warrenty they shouldnt charge you anything. If not i cant see the retail price being more then $5-$10.

Yes I bet the you need to adjust your trunk the switch for the trunk is with in the latch.

My lights flash when I lock it, but the horn doesn't sound. Also doesn't go off when i tried to set the alarm off. I checked the sensor in the hood, and I believe it's there. Cannot find it in the trunk, anyone have any pics?
