Strange button below TCS and lighting controls.

Anybody have a clue what this is? There is a small button on the bottom of it. There is no mention of it in the user manual.

That's because it's not a button.

What I photographed is certainly not a button, but there is most definitely a button on the bottom of it.

Excuse me for actually looking at the picture you posted.

w/r/t your second picture, I have no earthly idea what you photographed or where it is located to be able to give you an answer. How about you provide something that can provide some orientation?

I take it you are not the original owner of the car? That is some sort of added button. Have you tried pushing it?

Sorry, thought I explained what I was asking about pretty well but after looking at it again it doesn't really make sense, that's my bad. I'll take some better pictures and post them up.

You are correct. I've tried pushing it, nothing happens as far as I can tell. I've tried with the car on/off and moving/in park.

Aftermarket security system. I'd be willing to bet the button is Valet mode.

If you didn't get another FOB for the alarm... it's probably because the alarm system was disabled and you got left with a few extra pieces parts.
