I will post a complete review on the OEM tires shortly as I am about to replace all 4 wheels with some new Hankook Ventus V12 Evo K110 tires.

We will see how it goes.

Genesis Coupe: 2.0T 6 Speed Manual Track
Current Mileage: 5300 miles
Wheels/Rims Used: Rota Torque Rs (18x9.5 +20)
Tire Size(s): Front - 245/40-18 & Rear - 275/40-18
Current Tires Used: Falken FK452
Previous Tires Used: N/A (didn't ride on the OEM Track 19s long enuf to say anything)
Mileage on Tires: 5000 miles
Type of Driving Conditions: Mainly Highway but in traffic alot
Type of Driving Style: Spirited when the road ahead permits

Thoughts:
I'm liking the FK452s alot. nice firm sidewall and a Threadwear of 300, but still plenty of grip along with the coilovers I'm on, the ride is nice. firm but not anywhere near killing your kidneys. Tires don't tram like others I've had when on a lowered stance. I do notice that road noise is a little loud though, unsure if it's just the tires, tires combined with the coilovers (greater NVH), or if the amount of negative camber is affecting it as well.

DashDAQ XL w/ GPS Navigation - Intake Silencer removal - Wastgate Adjusted (0.5 turns) - Rota Torque 18x9.5(f/r) +20(f) / +17(r) - Megan Racing Street Series Coilovers (8k/7k) - Tinted all-around - DynoJet CMD (16psi peak, street tuned by me) - Throttle Body Coolant bypass - Agency Power cat-back

I had never been a Bridgestone fan until I bought my Genesis Coupe. I must admit I was wrong. I've owned Ferrari, Porsche, BMW, had Good Year F1's, Nitto's, Dunlops, etc; the Bridgestones make me humble every time I take a turn I know I would have slid or spinned out, yet they held. Hyunday made the right choice.

Hey i have a question i was wanting to upgrade my tires and wheels and i want to know what fitment looks the best. i want it wider in the back and i currently have the stock 18s. I was lookin at the tenzo wheels but i was wanting to know how big i could go in the back to the point it would be fine. I was gonna put the 245/40/18 tire up front and get wider for the back.

You are off topic, but I send pm with recommendation...

Genesis Coupe: 2.0T 6 Speed Manual R-Spec
Current Mileage: 10,000 miles
Wheels/Rims Used DD: Stock 19"s (19x8 & 8.5)
Wheels/Rims for track: Volk TE37s (18x8.5 & 18x9.5 +22)
Tire Size(s) used DD: Stock 19"s (Bridgestone Potenza RE050A - 225/40YR19 & 245/40YR19)
Tire Size(s) for track: Hankook RS3s (245/40ZR18 & 285/35ZR18)
Previous Tires Used: N/A
Mileage on Tires: 10k on stockers w/2 track events; RS3s seen 2 track events only
Type of Driving Conditions: Mixed highway/street with some track time in between
Type of Driving Style: Very Spirited when the road ahead permits; racetrack events
Thoughts:
I like the RS3s alot, esp for the price. They have a nice firm sidewall and are pretty damn sticky. Threadwear of 140 so creeping up on R-compounds here. I've driven on these to get to track events & the ride is nice, firm but not rough. Tires do have to be heated up for best performance though.

The stock Bridgestones are way better than expected, but still not good enough for me to see purchasing again. They are a little hard & noisey, but have pretty good grip. The last set of Bridgestones I got were weak sauce, but that was years ago. I will be replacing the stock 19" Bridgestones with Ventus V12 Evo K110 for DD use real soon. My brother already has these installed on his 3.8 Track & likes them much better than the stock tires.

Genesis Coupe: 2.0T 6 Speed Manual R-Spec
Current Mileage: 14,500 miles
Wheels/Rims Used DD: Stock 19"s (19x8 & 8.5)
Wheels/Rims for track: Stock 19"s (19x8 & 8.5)
Tire Size(s) used DD: Stock 19"s on Bridgestone Blizzak LM-25, 245/40R19, 265/35R19
Tire Size(s) for track: Used the OEMs one day at the 1/4mile
Previous Tires Used: Stock potenzas
Mileage on Tires: ~2k on Blizzaks, ~12k on OEM
Type of Driving Conditions: Mixed highway/street with 5 runs at the 1/4 mile
Type of Driving Style: Spirited when the road ahead permits
Thoughts: OEM Potenzas = overpriced. they were nice when I had them, but at ~12k miles the rears were pretty much done and I would have barly any traction when it was dry at at full boost, and the car was very unstable in the rain. I don't every really chirp my tires from a stop although they would break loose under hard acceleration as I changed gears.

Now its cold and I have Blizzak lm-25. The rears have a little bulge, but they are great. I can drive with confidence when the road is not dry and I have traction in the cold (although not as good as when the Potenzas were new). They are very noisy though. Hasn't snowed yet, but I should be fine.

Genesis Coupe: 3.8 6 Speed Manual Track
Current Mileage: 12,7XX
Wheels/Rims Used: OEM 19" Track
Tire Size(s): Front - 225/40-19 & Rear - 245/40-19
Current Tires Used: OEM Bridgestone Potenzas RE050A Summer
Previous Tires Used: N/A
Mileage on Tires: 12,7XX miles
Type of Driving Conditions: Highway, Curvy Roads, City
Type of Driving Style: From the looks of my tires I tend to corner hard and take it easy on the accelerator until I'm at a roll so I dont run through my rear tires.

Thoughts: My rear tires still have the indicators; however, my front tires are worn a lot more than the rear. I don't feel confident in the rain and I haven't since my first experience with these tires in the rain. As far as cornering goes... I'm not sure if its tires or the suspension set up and I will have to buy another set of tires to compare these to but it handles well.

Genesis Coupe: 3.8 track 6spd m
Current Mileage: Just hit 6,000
Wheels/Rims Used: Stock 19' Track
Tire Size(s): Stock 225/40-19 & Rear - 245/40-19
Current Tires Used:OEM Bridgestone Potenzas RE050A
Previous Tires Used: N/A
Mileage on Tires: 6,000
Type of Driving Conditions:S*** City Road in MS ,Highway
Type of Driving Style: Normal w/ occasional spirited driving

Thoughts: I've driven from MS to TX from condition's to hot and sunny to light rain i.e when the roads have the oils come up and through some heavier rain conditions . As far as handling goes I would say it's not to bad for going in and out of traffic ( city or hwy ) . As far as hard cornering i don't feel that confident with these. Don't get me wrong the tires are good but maybe it's because of the tires not being wide enough . I have a WS.6 and the stocks are 275 and as far as tires I always go with Goodyear Eagle F1 GS's and have never had a handling problem or cornering . As far as replacements go for the GC I'm choosing from the Hankook Ventus V12's ,Michelin Pilot Super Sports ,Continental DWS's. Maybe some Goodyears.

Genesis Coupe: 3.8 ZF Track
Current Mileage: 36K
Wheels/Rims Used: Stock
Tire Size(s): 235/35-19 - 245/40-19
Current Tires Used: Nitto NT-05
Previous Tires Used:Stock RE-50A's
Mileage on Tires:~12K
Type of Driving Conditions: Mostly high ways, and "slippery" old roads
Type of Driving Style: spirited

Thoughts: NT-05's killed:
A-Front Understeer, can corner much harder now. In fact initially i 'aimed' to understeer it to know the tires limits. (keep in mind i kept the rear track stock) also on stock camber.
B-"Most" of the wheelspin in acceleration from stop. you can feel that it hooks better than RE050A's

loved them! much better road feeling, wide "danger!-Am-about-to-slip" feeling ( the RE50A's felt had this "numb rubber" feeling)

But what I don't like is that they're noisey, harder ride (exacerbated by lower front ratio too). Tread life is way shorter; but i don't care for the short tread life, as those are 50% the price the RE50A's over-here.
But with that said, am going with Invo's next (245/40 front and 275/35 rear). I can really use the better ride.

GCC Spec - '11 3.8 ZF Track

DTM 2-piece Rotors,StopTech SS brake lines, Project MU B-force (PBF906 Front and F1039 Rear), Mishimoto Power Steering Cooler, TB Bypass mod (25 degC lower IAT!), AEM drop in filter & Pirelli P-Zero's

Nissan 350z Rays Wheels, fricken awesome weight drop but they DO NOT fit the 67.1mm hub! 3mm spacers did the trick..

The star specs are excellent for the track. They do need a lap to warm up though. I do not recommend them as street tires especially if you are running more than stock negative camber. The tires are soft. Great price for what you get.

Price vs performance is a big factor for me. That's one of the reasons why I ranked the achilles 2nd. Imho achilles are the best bang for the buck performance street tire.

Definitely not using these on the street at all, I'm hoping they will last me a couple seasons of autocross. I'm about to order a set of 245/275, will update in a couple months when my back ordered wheels ship .
