Just wondering if they're pre-wired for it and you just need to swap front seats or if its much more involved?
Anyone tried or looked into it?
Thanks

I would guess there is more to it from an electrical standpoint. Does the 2.0 have the heated seats switch near the shifter? If not your going to have to PM Mike at Importshark and ask him when his center piece will be ready with that button. Next your going to have to figure out the wiring. Honestly . . . . it's probably more work than its worth but that's me

Well what I want to know is this...
Some cars (not all) because of production commonality have all the wiring for all options installed even if that option isn't on that particular car. For example my buddy bought a Toyota Tacoma with out foglights and cruise control, however all the equipment was wired in it, he just had to buy a new turn signal stalk (for cruise) and the fog lights them selves, but the lights and the stalk plugged right into the existing harnesses and everything then worked.

I was wondering if the Gen coupes have wiring for heated seats but simply need the button and seats themselves added.

Why not go aftermarket?

Take the seat covers off, slap on the heating elements, put the covers back on, and run your wires.

I would doubt it's wired for them . . . .wish it was but I would highly doubt it. For example, the base model does not have the LED turn signal mirrors. Upon purchasing the led turn signal mirrors and plugging them in, all the functioanlity worked EXCEPT the light. Why? Because Hyundai didn't wire it that way. Now I have to wire it myself. It would have been nice if it was done that way . . ... Kudos to Toyota for thinking of that.

I think the wiring thing was discussed before on the board and the answer was no, Hyundai does not include connections on the harness for things that don't exist.

I have a 2.0T with heated seats OEM.

Thing is Hyundai dropped the ball on it. It's either on (and your butt gets super hot) or it's off. No dial like in a lot of luxury cars (would have costed an extra $10 tops making it variable, might even have a switch from Korea). If you can find an aftermarket option, I would go that way.

The button is in the same spot as the 3.8L, near the shifter, so you shouldn't have any issues.

Yea or you can get a good 2 stage heated seat installed aftermarket for around 600 bucks or 750 if you want the low-med-high setting ones. If you are even a little bit mechanically inclined you can do it yourself for much less.
