This is for the owners (I know there were a few) of the weirtech DP. Where is the best place for the O2 bung for a wideband? I remember seeing someone with the pic of it on theirs...but for the life of me I can NOT find it in the searches lol Gonna be grabbing some AEM gauges soon and getting everything prepared.

I'm getting my WB bung put on the downpipe, close to the v-band, like Cheers007 has it in this video around 0:42 seconds in.

Jarena has his right next to the primary o2 sensor. Look at the pictures in the link provided by WeirTech in the promo thread, you'll notice that the top of the o2 has two bung instead of just one. One is for the primary o2 sensor and second is for Wideband sensor.

Which is better? I don't know. Everyone I know has theirs on the downpipe, so thats the reason I'm going with it. According to some people the reason its better to have it on the downpipe is so that the high heat doesn't burn the sensor out to fast, but you don't want it to far on the downpipe because then condensation can cause it to error also, so I figured where Cheers007 put his is a good spot not to far from the turbo, but not to close either to cause the bung to get too hot.
This is just stuff I heard.

Ah ha! I thought it was cheers that I saw but couldn't remember. That's most likely where I'll get mine put in...I've heard the same things about it being too close to the turbo and all.

You want the wideband far enough from the turbo in order not to burn up the sensor and kill it too quickly. The spot where Aaron put mine seems optimal. Too close, and the sensor burns. Too far and your readings will be too "slow" for you to really know what the engine is doing.

if you plan to leave the sensor in long term, about 12-18" away from the outlet is ideal. if you only plan to use the sensor for tuning, then it does not really matter.

with a hfc it is ideal to get a reading pre cat, so putting it next to the primary is the best location.

Hey Aaron, I haven't measured it but is that were you put our widebang bungs for the race 02 setup?
