thank god for this diy lol if i can't find a shop local might be doing this mysslef

when you reinstall the clutch hose, do you have the clip in, then slid the hose over the nipple? or do you slide the hose over the nipple. then reinsert the keeper clip? i cant seem the get that keeper clip back in place. THX for the help!

One more thanks to Tufast for the DiY, Installed ACT street clutch and flywheel.

Used your walked through today! Worked perfectly and settled my nerves a lot! Thanks again, now just have to wait for the redline oils to come in.

Thanks! im just scared of having it fling off and end up on the clutch disc...i think thats what happened when the dealership did my last install because i have clutch judder on take off. either that or they didn't clean the flywheel/PP before installation. either way, how much would you say you used on either one?

It was a pretty stiff grease and you don't need much. Just a little on the splines so it freely goes in and out. The stuff I used was a black hi temp grease from Lubriplate. Wheel bearing grease would work good.

Excellent write up. Thanks!

Thanks for this. About to use this guide this weekend.

I am currently at work and cannot see the pics because they block photobucket here but wouldn't it be easier to drop the whole transmission INCLUDING the shifter assembly rather than messing with the pins up under there? Pics for reference:

So, just 4 bolts/nuts that hold the shifter plate in place and it will come down? I gotta do my shifter bushings while I am at it anyway, figured it's a lot better to do it this way.

Can someone confirm?

Good to know Ill be doing this in a couple weeks aswell!
