So heres my dilemma. I really want to purchase an exhaust, but there seems to be only 3 choices: HKS Legamax, Greddy Spectrum Elite, or have a shop custom build me one. I think they all have to many faults what do i do.

My first Choice:Greddy

By far better sounding to me than the HKS, but almost a whole $300 dollars more exspensive.

2nd choice: HKS

Sounds great, don't get me wrong and it's about $600, but Greddy and HKS are both only axle back systems. What I really want is a true exhaust from the header back. So.

3rd choice: Custom

Sounds like the champ of them all, but no hard evidence if it makes the Hp gains we are all looking for. Plus I live in a smaller town and who can guess how savvy these guys are here.

Looking for some other choices. Or even some hard hitting facts on what i've listed, more than anything Greddy Dyno #'s. Please help me decide.

OK, i have searched the web and saw and heard almost all the exaust systems (CAT BACK) in the aftermarket for the GC and my choice would be the Mangna Flow cat back system check it out on youTube

Yes, i have heard the magnaflow set up many times, but i have also been in contact with people from the company and they had a release date of jan. From what i understand that has been pushed back and im kind of looking for one soonner than later.

You could check out our exhaust.

It is constructed of all 304 stainless unlike some of the others, and it is on special til the end of the month.

We have everything from full turbo back to axle back, and we have them ready to ship immediatly

Here is a link to the thread about it http://www.gencoupe.com/vendor-classifieds-engine/26339-exceladyne-exhaust-release-promotion.html

Here is a link to a guy that put the full one on his 2.0t http://www.gencoupe.com/2-0t/26341-exceladyne-exhaust-video-2.html#post218645

Yes this is very nice but designed for 2.0T. I'm finding the options for the 3.8 is a bit more limited as of now. Sorry if did not post I drove the 3.8

I noticed in the cp-e video, the genesis says 2.0T but when it goes in the cockpit it has a push start button. Doesn't the V6's only have the push start? I have the 2.0GT and I got no push start. A few holes in that video.

#16 ·
^nope, my 2.0T track has the push button and I believe the premium 2.0T's do too. As for the exhaust there seems to be a lot to choose from now. If I had to pick from the OP's three, I think the HKS sounds the best, but seems a little pricey to me. If I had the cash right now I would probably get the Magnaflow, cp-e, exceladyne and there was another one I liked, but I lost my links and can't remember who made it...

Has anyone ever seen Dyno #'s for the greddy.

that young motors is, in my opinion, THE best exhaust that is out for the V6 genesis... BY FAR. The sound is amazing, throaty, and has a great amount of popping...

def go that route

#25 ·
The young motors exhaust video also had the camera extremely close to the exhaust as well and not to mention it being a low quality camera...compared to the others...so its going to sound more "throaty" from the distortion coming thru.

it sounds just like the.......Exceladyne axle back, & Ark imo

You know I was wondering the same thing, it was supposed to be out by now from what I understood.

Will the Exceladyne center pipe bolt up to the RRM axle back?

I would surely think so since axle-back is axle-back regardless what company sells it.

Just wanted to let everyone know we are developing a mid-pipe for our Exceladyne axle back system. The sample is going to be done next week and we will be posting dyno results at that time.

If you buy an axle back now, I will be providing a discount code for the future purchase of a midpipe!

Thanks,
