I never have to back off that bolt your talking about in part 2 between the bumper and the quarter panel. Maybe there is a difference between my 2010 and the 2012?

I just grab a flat head, hold it with the flat edge horizontal, then push it in that little slot between the bumper and the quarter panel. If you push it in correctly, it should un-clip the first clip and pop the corner of the bumper off, letting you pull the rest off.

Yeah im not sure if it is different on the 2012, i thought about trying to do it that way but i didnt want to risk paint damage.

Great video for doing something that seems scary but really it isn't at all. I've taken my bumper off maybe 15 times lol. Don't ask why.

 

Wish I would've seen this before I went to swap grilles.... D'OH!!!

Thanks for posting those. They were a life saver at helping me find those last two 10mm bolts. Now I really need to break down and buy a 10mm gear wrench in case I ever have to take the bumper off again.

 

Yeah it would deff speed things up, i think i'll head down and buy on nxt time i take my bumper off, prob for grill/fogs. Then again... i dont think i will take it off again after that for a long time so do i really need one? hahah

Can somebody explain how the 13' bottom section, right in front of the intercooler can be removed? I took off the bumper, removed the screws but couldn't get it to come off, there has to be a trick or something I'm missing.

If anyone could help me solve this issue I would be very grateful,

I have been looking for the part # for the screw and retainer clip that is decribed in this video as the second bumper screw/retainer clip (in the video it is said that it is 10mm, while the first bumper screw was 5/16).

I have looked diagrams but only find the first screw which seems to be part 1244BJ (plastic retainer is 1491AD).

Any help is really appreciated!
