Idle control issues and A/C blowing hot air on idle are tuning issues. Your tuner needs to set the correct On/Off/Activation pressure for the A/C to work correctly on idle, then tune the idle A/C start offset for the sudden changes in load (and the zero throttle timing)
A lot of good info in this thread. Thanks enveryone for inputs and thanks Adam for taking things seriously.

Yes, I think it is because it already went better after the first tuning round although I still have the issues I am talking about. I am supposed to do my high boost tuning soon but since the cars works great engine and power wise, I was not in a hurry ;) Maybe this airco will make me move because we are already closing 30°C (86°F) and I need it!

2 things,

1. My idle won't go below about 1300. I know it is set to 900, higher than stock 750, but it will never go there. it seems to sit at 1300. This is after the car has warmed up and been driven. I actually drove ~30 miles, and it still would not go lower.

2. maybe connected. Often when i am at a light idling, it will oscillate between 1300 and 1700. Just go back and forth between them. do you think this is a fuel issue, or timing, or cooling, no idea...

Check the offset of the thermo fan. For me it was this preventing the car idling properly. To identify, we checked the difference between target idle and idle and found out that percentage was the thermofan offset. Then we changed it and now the car idle where it should.

If it's not this, just do the same method: check the difference between target and idle and try to see in your tables where you have that offset.

Cheers

That sounds like the idle surge I'm getting when it gets too hot. Does it stop surging if you tap the throttle?
I had that exact same problem twice. It might or might not be related to what Adam said about the under hood temps. In each case, it came aster sitting in traffic jams, although I don't think my throttle was limited in anyway in the 2 occurrences.

If you guys want a walk through on how to enable launch control, I will be happy to make another post with screen shots showing how to do it.
That'd be great and with some base values as well (although some have been posted) in order to start from the right point. I'll pass on the info to my tuner ;)

Thank you!

For you guys with idle and transient throttle issues, not to point fingers or anything, but it sounds to me like you all just need some more tuning work done to the idle control and transient throttle settings. Your tuners should be able to fix these issues for you in a matter of a few minutes.

As far as how to set up the Launch Anti lag in the software, you guys will have to wait until next week. I am leaving for Texas first thing tomorrow morning and I need to use today to prepare materials and get caught up on other work.

Adam, for antilag in the Puerto Rican cars (we basicaly have Canada models over here) I use speed-based antilag. No clutch switch required!

And yeah, all my cars at least, for now (since they all have stock cams) idle at 750rpm, increasing to 820rpm when the A/C is turned on. No hesitation on them either, only random throttle issues.

*sigh*

Pulsed output is broken for some reason, you can set it up and it will do nothing

These values CHANGE VEHICLE BY VEHICLE, depending on the intercooler (gasp). Since the intercooler is right next to the condenser/evaporative/whatever A/C thingy radiator like thing, a heat soaking intercooler WILL make the pressures go higher, in which case you'll need to play with the thermofan levels, which will in turn make the car run under operating temperature (not by much, but yeah, heads up)

Idle settings, if you need help, PM me.
ALL of the cars I've tuned idle from 750 to a max of 800, only when the throttle control starts going mad do they break 1krpm.

Launch control for vehicles WITHOUT cruise control:

The thing is, if you install the other clutch switch, you get NLTS, which is awesome.

El Domino, THANK YOU. I have wanted to do some research to make a decent base setting, but I have not had the time. As for the launch control, the speed limiter function doesn't really work fast enough for a good launch in my humble opinion.

My thermo fan values are as follows
Switch 1:
On Temp- 90*C Off Temp- 85*
Idle Delay time- 0.00s
Switch 2:
On Temp- 95*C Off Temp- 92*
Idle Delay time- 0.00s

You should have a table where there is the idle or rpm offset for the thermo fan. I don't have my PC right now, so I don't remember which one it is but it was pretty straight forward. Then just lower the offset. From memory, we lowered my offset to 2% and it was fine. Also I can't check my maps anymore because the tuner locked it but when he's working there we are basically working on it together ;)

Your question was about getting flat shifting to work? Send me your map so I can take a look, you probably just have a setup issue.
my realy question was that when i drive the car and let off the gas when i get back on the gas staying out of boost i get on it somewhat fast the car like gerks feels like the tb stays closed or something or fuel not htere but tuneer said its not fuel an he doenst know if i go into it easy it doesnt do it,
