Ive only used my heated seats a few times and noticed that they never really worked correct but i never really cared since i rarely used them. Now i just decided to do some research and and read a few threads on here where members had issues but i didnt read about any fixes or if anyone had taken their car to a dealer to fix. My issue is that the seats will just start to get warm and then its like they just shut off and i dont feel anything. Ive read the manual and it says that the seats will shut off depending on what temperature the seat is but hyundai doesnt give you an actual number lol in the manual. Hyundai does have a warning in the manual so im assuming since my seats dont get anywhere near a temperature that could burn they are not working correctly. Ive read on a gen sedan board and it seems alot of guys are having the same issue. They have mentioned something about the tubes in the seat getting crushed when you sit down and this shuts off the seat becasue it will overheat or something of that nature. And some have said the dealer added coils over the tubes to make them stiffer to handle the weight on top of them. So anyone having similar issues where they are not getting hot enough or just shutting down? Thanks.

Wow... first I heard about all of that. I have heated seats in my 3.8GT and don't use them much, but I know last winter, my daughter and wife liked to use the passenger-side one when they were in the car.
My kid used to sometimes turn mine on too when she turned on hers, and I would only realize it when I felt the seat getting warm.
I recall mine getting warm enough on the driver's side one time that it wasn't "burning hot" but approached the point of being a little too warm to be "relaxing" or "comfortable" for me anymore, wearing thin pants, so I turned it off. Given that, I'd say mine are working properly.
