Thank you. Will the warning canceller completely get rid of the drl effect or fix it to function as it did stock?

 

It would make the DRL a full-power light. HIDs do not offer the dimmed DRL function, as they can only be fully off or fully on.

The warning cancellers didn't work. The only functionality I could get from them was completely disabling my high beams when I connected one to the high beam signal wire.

If you read mroe through that thead, post #6 doesn't work.
Snoopy is going to look into it when he isn't so busy.


If you have HID highs, for now, just remove the DRL fuse.
That's how I got around it in my old car.
I haven't really looked at our fuses, but that's what worked for my older car.

 

Ok I must have done something wrong because I tried using the capacitor again and it works perfectly now. All I did was attach one resistor to the high beam signal wire and it works flawlessly. Diode Dynamics, you could actually sell just one capacitor as that is all that is technically required

I hate to necro a relatively old thread, but you're referring to the DRL warning canceler right? Based on this thread, I had DD send me one canceler since my high beams were clicking during the day when switch was in auto. Installed that this weekend and no luck, still got no lights when clicked it to auto during the day.

I then decided to install it on the low beams and on the non-battery side for fun, but none of that worked either. However, now I'm noticing after I removed the canceler completely that the clicking no longer happens from the relay during the day. The lights still stay off when in the auto position, but it doesn't click anymore. Weird, and since you just put it back on the second time and it worked I guess I'll play with it some tonight... I'm open to other ideas though!
