Tentative schedule:

Meet @ the new Rudy's BBQ @ 5:00 PM for an early dinner

21799 Katy Freeway
Katy, TX 77450

Eat dinner and leave around 6:00 to 6:30 PM

(1) Head West on I-10 out of town
(2) Exit FM 1489 and turn left to head South
(3) Turn left on FM 1093 and head East
(4) Turn right on FM 359 and head South
(5) Follow FM 359 South and East until it dead ends into Highway 90/Alt Route 90
(6) Turn left on Hwy 90/Alt Route 90 and head East
(7) Turn right on Hwy 6 South and head South
(8) Turn right on Town Center Blvd into First Colony Mall.
(9) Park in the Dillards Parking lot

This should take about an hour and a half so we should arrive at First Colony Mall at around 7:30. From there we will regroup, pick up any addition people from the area that didn't meet us originally. We will then head down the road to the packing garage for some awesome sunset/night shots in the garage around 8:00 PM.

From there if people want to stick around and do something, we can figure it out from there, otherwise, people can head out and have fun for the night. If anyone is interested, I was thinking of a hitting a local bar to catch preseason football and maybe some Karaoke or something fun afterwards in the area. Yalls call.

Please post if you are definitely coming :)

List of those confirmed that are coming:
1. BloopBloop
2. BigWorm
3. Wargoddamn - meeting us at First Colony (?)
4. WildBill
5. Enverse
6. _dub_

Awesome! I wore mine over the weekend when me and a bunch of guys went to our hunting property near San Angelo to get the property ready for the season. So I repped mine in the middle of no where Texas!

Speaking of UH, I start back there this semester too. I feel like a freshman since they have changed so much of the campus.

lol, was just about to work on this this week. Any thoughts? I was planning to do end of month like it has been, and since half the month is gone lol. What yall in the mood to do?

How long ago, about a week or so?

I'd love to shoot some ideas out but Galveston was already done, and other than that I'm not familiar with the interesting areas surrounding Houston. If I have anything good I come up with I'll be sure to chime in, but I'm down for anything honestly.

I'm a stock baby, but I'm down to meet other GC owners. I need to get ideas on what to do with my car. I've had it for about a month now and I am loving every second of it.

#10 ·
back to OP, I'm up for anything really. Shame we don't have the hills and curves like Lime Creek Rd in Austin...

#15 ·
You aren't lying.

But I'd be down for a cruise some, photos and then maybe a little event like bowling or karting which were mentioned before. We could even take a vote on what event everyone wanted to do.

Just a thought

there is a road out in past in katy or passed katy 14xx something. all the way down to rosenberg what i heard is an awesome road only 2 places for cops is what i heard other than that. someone on here told me about it. speak up lol. if not. we could do a hang out at like track 21 or k1 karting. k1 karting is pretty new. or the old school bowling lol. hopefully we can get another group picture of a different flavor this time hahaha. iono jibber jibber jibber??? lol nuff said. blah.

I will scout the road tonight and areas at the end of the run. We really haven't done anything in the west/southwest of Houston yet, so this could be a good opportunity to do so and give members on that side of town the benefit of something on their side of "da hood" lol.

if we start out in katy we could end in stafford. via stafford lanes for bowling. so the route would be katy to rosenberg via road cruise. from rosenberg head out for a photo shoot somewhere maybe in sugarland or somewhere. lam this is your expertise for a good location on your side of town lol. then head over to stafford lanes or where ever for some fun.

Hoenstly if we could find a parking garage, I think the urban look would be something new, different, and sick. I don't recall seeing any pics like that on gencoupe to date.

#26 ·
meh, got to be a public one somewhere...

#27 ·
By Jones Theatre, there is a nice parking garage that I'm sure is public, Sugar Land Town Center has above ground, well lit, rooftop garages. I would imagine you wouldn't need a permit or anything. I'm down for anywhere in the Houston area. Really want to get my Luxon grill first if I can manage it.

#28 ·
Can you check that in the next day or two to verify it's open for public use?

#29 ·
Yeah, I'll try to run by there after work tomorrow and scope things out. I'm pretty sure it is because this particular garage is where we used to hold raves with different DJs on each floor of the garage. I'll also ask around with some friends if they know anywhere around in the off chance I can't get out there by Sunday. I work weekends, but I'll work it in.

Had a thought. Since August is usually the around the hottest time of the year, why not do something cool.

We meet in Katy around Lunch and eat. Drive the route listed to Rosenberg (about 1 hour per Google Maps for some cruising). Then drive up from Rosenberg to Sugarland and swing into the Ice Skating complex for a mid afternoon public session to have some fun? Nice and cool to chill after burning it up in west Houston farmland. Thoughts?

#41 ·
I live in Richmond, so this is actually perfect for me.

Also, didn't get the chance to go into town to check out the jones garage. I'll go check it out tomorrow once rush hour dies down.

Me + skates of any kind = Fail or broken something

but up to whatever you guys decide

#49 ·
I hear you and I know some may feel this way. But, they do have a bar and grill to chill in. So, you could cool off and have a beer if you are of age and wish too. We could also keep the end of the day open for something else in the area if a local has another suggestion.

Be fun at any rate and maybe get some pics of someone busting their rear lol.

There are no quotas for cops. Its really depends on the cops.

Sugarland Parking Garage really varys by the security. Sometime when i take pics there, i get lucky, the guy tell me just to my things and no crazy stunts.

But otherwise, they will just tell you to GTFO. It's a hit or miss thing.

I really dont know much for group photos spot, i am open for suggestion, just please no crappy roads.
