How Is A FM Transmitter Used?

I bought Hyundai Genesis Coupe, my first car, a month ago, and get interested in everything relevant to car. Yesterday I found a FM transmitter as it is called which is said to "broadcast music from your audio devices to your car stereo". I know FM is something about radio, and my car has been equipped with one. Then it seems that such a thing is not needed as for me. Or if the stuff has anything else good, please tell me. By the way, does it suits my car?

huh???

what do you want to use the fm transmitter for? if its for an ipod, your car either came with a cable or you can grab one from the dealer for ~$30, if its for a regular mp3 player, buy a usb stick and load the music on it and plug it in the center console glove box... if its for a specific phone you have, yes it will have merit if you want to listen to music off it...

wth...you don't need one...you have a USB/AUX/IPOD port in your center armrest console....just like Fr3bB said

if you have Bluetooth you can stream music to yor car from your phone

this car is one of the more technologically advanced cars in the market as far the music experience and your options for input. With that being said, nothing else is needed additionally... goodluck

ur engrish iz berry gudd.

I'm not entirely certain what you're asking, but FM transmitters suck. If you have any other way of getting the audio into your stereo (bluetooth, usb, aux jack, etc.) I would use it, as all of these are higher quality than FM.

Why are you asking this question? You already have every known input device on modern cars as standard. FM transmitters are for people with older cars who don't have iPod ports, 3.5mm AUX jacks, USB ports, CD changers, and/or any sense of style. You don't need an FM transmitter. Stop hurting my head.

lol...n20 laid the smackdown
Dang it, I missed it...

it works on the regular Santa Fe... quick, somebody try it!

I've never tried it in any other vehicle
The bluetooth streaming does not work for me in my pre nav 3.8 Track. I will give it a try the next time I have my car though.
