You would jsut swap the bulbs with the ones you want, easy as that.


Be careful with 8000k. They do NOT help you see any better at night, in fact they do the complete opposite. Also keep in mind that your taking a risk in getting pulled over, and ticketed.

I got 8000k on my car from DD. Its the picture on their website for the HID kit. Heres more pics with the 8000k. It was

I've said this so many times that I feel like a broken record =/ but at 6000K you lose ~30% of your usable light and it just gets worse as you raise the kelvins. I guess it just comes down to if you want to have more light or have less light and look cool. Either way, you do get that blue flicker at the top of the cutoff.

 

The higher the temp you go the less light output and the more glare it gives off. 4300k is pure whit a gives the best light output. I wouldn't get anything past 6k

 

Mostly true, but 4300K has some yellow but over time it will colorshift and be mostly white, but at that point the bulb has lost output. 5000K is where you get pure white lights.

thats one thing that peeves me off when buying aftermarket bulbs.

 

yea, any aftermarket bulb or oem bulb is never the same as another.. they are all different from what i've seen

and even if i'm losing 30% of the light.. i still can see a crap ton more than i could with stock lol

 

Wolfman, what do you have in the foglights?

 

15k fogs lol, they are bright though compared to the projectors, but they are more like 12k looking

 

To answer your original question - You just need to buy a set of 8000K D1S HID bulbs. Should work fine with the factory HID system.
