Anyone feel the 225/40/19 arent enough meat on the stock track 19s? I cant see why they didnt do a full 45 all around (unless they had to stick with the RE050A which dont come in 45 on the 19s). The front wheel well just looks incredibly gapped, even with the large 19s!

If you go to a higher sidewall, it will look rediculous in my opinion. It's a sports car, low sidewall or get a truck!!!

Lower the car if you don't like the wheel well gap :D

You need to lower the car not get bigger tires. Didn;t do the math but you want to make sure the height for the rears vs the fronts maintains a close ration to stock or it will throw off the traction control (not that its particularly useful anyway).

The tires are plenty meaty height wise, they are low profile 19s. They are too narrow though and the stock tires kinda suck grip wise too...

Lowering reduces the gap up top, but doesnt fill the sides.

Being that the track version is the top trim, it could have come with some wider, meater tires like its competitors, at least 245/40/19 up front and some 265s in the rear.

The 370z comes with 245/40/19 up front and 275/40/19 rear, the mustang GT has 255/40/19 up front and 285/35/19 rear.

I bet Hyundai couldve trimed some time off the 0-60 and 1/4 mile just by getting some comparable tires.

Width has nothing to do with wheel well gap. Do you understand tires? 285(the width) 40/45/30 etc (the sidewall aspect ratio). What don't you like, the width, or the height? I can run a 285 on my car and still have wheel gap...:dunno:
