When I was at the car show, I was looking at it and couldn't figure out why they ran a tube into the firewall. Google smartened me up haha.

 

I think you can just remove that flex hose and plug it, it basically is a closed system just to carry sound to the interior.

 

that and the space that most of the CAI's run too is no longer there or big enough for a filter.

About time. They used a MAP sensor too on the 10-12s. The MAF is just redundant.

 

Yeah no MAF... CAI is not necessary if an SRI is designed properly. Case and point R2C intake is an SRI but has out dyno'd most CAI's on the market, and is not effected by heat soak. Its just a matter of a properly designed SRI and shield.

 

No MAF has some benefit over MAF systems. SD tuning sometimes is prefered over maf tuning. This is interesting. I can't wait to see how tuning is going to work on this DI motor. We went to hell and back with our DI camaro LOL.
