I have all supporting mods SRI , TBE , FMIC I'm ready for injectors and tune.. My question is if I went with 750cc could I still get the BR PA tune?

Doesn't BadBoyBill at PRW have a 750cc canned tune?

It all depends on what are your future plans. I don't see mention of engine internals, so let's assume you want to play it safe and stay under 300whp. Therefore, 550cc are more than capable. Going to the 750's because you willneed them sounds like you're going to do flywheel and clutch, pistons and rods and valves and springs and retainers and ...$$$$ ...you get the idea.

I talked to Tim about this because I had the same question and this is what he said in the email he sent me (I have BR stage 1 with TBE plus turboxs fmic going to be installed soon) :

The tune is specific to the injectors, you can't mix/match them.
The 550 units are the best for your current setup. We have tried 750cc in the past but had a difficult time with a few things.
The 550 will support the stage 4 setup as well up to the level of power your stock engine can handle. You really don't need 750cc until you can safely support the power.

I think I am going to go 550cc and then later when I can build the engine up I will go 750cc. I wanted to cut out the middle man and just try to go 750cc for the future but the tune is meant for just 550. Also, if you are ready to build the internals you can sell the injectors. I also talked to PRW and their tune is for 550cc and their evo x tune is for 750.

I max out my 550cc with the 19T upgrade from PRW but still running a little rich on purpose.

This was the idea but say you want to use a comparable turbo at at the limit, the 750 will give you the extra few percents DC you might need if you push it.

So consider that for your future upgrade.

Ahhh.... Thanks for getting that info. I thought I had remembered something like that.

More great info! Thanks for talking to Tim for us! Those BR kids are out of sight with the CS. Hell, we should rename it, not-customer-support because they are so helpful to everyone including non-customers.

I doubt that my build will ever go past the 19T range, so this info helps me when I do get there. I am surprised that the 550cc maxed out the 19T, but I have no real knowledge of specs.

Aren't others running bigger turbos on the 550cc?

Also: What model is that 19T you are running? Is that the 19T from PRW? What whp and tq are you at?

For what its worth, I'm running BR stage 3 with the ATP wastegate actuattor and a CMD on top. My DW 550s are maxed out with ~18psi passed ~5k rpm, running like 98-100% duty cycle. I'm going to be upping to 750s soon, and needing to fine tune it more with the CMD to run the boost I want.

550cc is good for stock turbo, once you upgrade the turbo you'll have to get the 750cc injectors to support the power. Keep in mind though, 350whp is the highest I'd go on a stock block, you can get 400whp, but then you're engine has questionable reliability.

So from reading this, I am getting that the 19T upgraded turbo is a good match for the 550cc injectors? That should take me to about 300whp with all the other supporting mods?

I am at stage-1 now: intake, O2, TBE, and flash (also forge bov and catch can).

To go to stage-2 I was looking at: injectors and FMIC. Then add the 19T turbo down the road for stage 3. That all sound right?
