So after my brembo install, turns out the line wasn't as super tight as it could be on the caliper. I was able to tighten it a tad less than a quarter turn left but it was loose enough for brake fluid to leak out over the course of a month.

Went to get my new tires put on today and this is what the inner face of the rear driver rim looked like.

Time to get them refinished! Hopefully there is a shop which can refinish a single rim to the factory TSW matte bronze colour.

Yeah lol, I had no idea brake fluid was that powerful.

I can either powdercoat all 4 rims, which sucks because I just paid to have my Pilot Sports mounted on them.

My other choice is to refinish the single rim in either paint or powdercoat. Paint will be more $$$ so if the powdercoat will match the other finishes, that's the route I might go with.

Thankfully, winter is coming so these rims will go into storage until I can figure out what I want to do with them.

But seriously, did the face get damaged at all? If not, I'd just clean it up and re-paint. Nobody can see the barrel of the wheel anyway, unless you are competing seriously at car shows.

and the banjo bolt for the line to the caliper isn't supposed to be "super tight" it needs to be torqued to spec. I re-checked all the bolts with my torque wrench 3 times before putting the car back on the ground. Brakes are no place to get laxed with your inspections.

Nope, we used the copper washers that came with my stoptech SS line kit!

I would say it's partly due to inexperience with install and not tightening things enough. Lesson learned!

If there is someone that you just really don't like.... Brake fluid is your best friend!!
