Hi all,
So I found a bunch of diff fluid when I swapped out my summer tires for my winter setup. Took it to the dealer and as I suspected, the pinion seal is bad and leaking diff fluid.
They quoted me at $350 to get the seal replaced.
Here's my question: should I pay the $350 to get the seal replaced or buy a used LSD diff pumpkin for around $700 (I have an open diff currently?
Also, does anyone know how hard it is to replace the pinion seal or how much parts would cost? Is this something I could do myself?
Or should I try to find another m/t open diff pumpkin?
Thanks!
