How reliable

Hi everyone, I'm looking to buy a Genesis coupe V6. I've recently sold my 2.0t and am looking for a V6 model but I have an issue.

I'm getting a bit scared as I'm reading the reliability posts on how the V6 engines tend to "blow up". How common is this? Does this happen to all the trims? Does getting a bk1 vs bk2 have an effect on this?

I'm looking to buy a V6 with less then 50k kms and sell it shortly after 120k kms but I even hear how they blow up before that...

Thanks for the help 🙏

I purchased a '13 3.8 GT with an automatic; new from Hyundai. I know only basic info regarding Hyundai motors but for the most part they seem reliable. In fact, I bought a 2022 Genesis GV70 because of the coupes performance and reliability. Anyway, my wife drives the coupe, we keep it in the garage and have done its maintenance regularly. Replaced brakes, tires, shocks, struts, filters, AT fluid, and obviously oil. I have to admit I have not changed the plugs because they are so damn hard to get to so I will probably have my mechanic or dealer do the plugs. Anyway, My wife drives it and it has approx 92k miles. No issues or failures. I am impressed with its reliability and the cars speed. Is a fast car

I should of added I am not so impressed with its interior trim. The seats wear out, split, and the plastic trim parts thru out the car discolor. I am considering getting her a new car but for now, she is stuck with the 2013 but she does likes it 👍
