Hey everyone! :hello:
SO I picked up the last Lime Rock Green Genesis Coupe on the lot this past weekend. It's a 2.0T base model and my first manual car. I've been out practicing during the last three days and slowly getting the hang of it. SO MUCH FUN!

The dealer had already powder-coated the stock rims black, and although they look really nice, the dealer at first wanted to charge an extra $1000 for them. I said no thanks, but since parts dept was closed, they're letting me keep it until later this week to swap them for the silver rims. The salesman called me today to tell me he dropped the price to $828. Not feeling that, either.

Update 10/16: Dealer finally called me last week, said the silver wheels came in (almost 2 months later!) So I went in last Friday and swapped em back. Car still looks awesome in silvers. And I kept my $800

What do you think of my new green monster? :D

a grand for oem powdercoated wheels.. lol. Tell them you'll give them 30 bucks for it.. Cause that's about how much you'd spend getting some rattle cans. :D

Looks good though.

Congrats. What a beautiful car. The Limerock Green looks better in person than in pictures. The wheels look cool.

I can't imagine driving mine w/out manual. There is a little rev hang. I'm still getting used to the transmission.

I dont know how you got no front plate bracket on your car in Cali. I looked at every LRG GC and all of them had holes drilled in the front.

In the paperwork to buy a car their is a sheet that says something about Stuff Required or still needed if that has nothing on it I do not think they can legally do anything about it or make you pay for it since it is already on a sold car. Now if you had the stock chrome wheels and wanted the powder coated ones then that is a different story and they will have to comply.
Yea we signed a Due Bill that said I'd have to come in within the next week to switch them back to stock wheels, so no worries.

I was going to buy a 3.8L Lime Rock Green Track Model. My parents talked me out of the color, at the time Lime Rock was the only color available at my dealer and any other color was 2-3 weeks away. I had thought, I could rock Lime Rock Green with some black rims and black tints and pull it off. Glad I listened to my parents, and got Nords Gray like I originally wanted but I do have to say man that looks amazing! It's not for me, but its a beautiful color with those rims! GET BLACK TINTS and your set!

I would tell them to lick balls.. They were on it when you drove it bought it picked it up, tough sh1t for them... Mine tried to punk me with an extra $500.00 cause the car had the 3M on it. Guess someone wrote a deal on my car and wanted the 3M and then his financing droped through. I came in was quoted a price and thats what I was paying. Told them I wasnt going to pay aything more than what was on my contract or I was walking. Needless to say the caved.

I love that color especially with those black rims. If you are going to give them back those rims start doing some curb checks and scratch them up. LOL I bet they will not want them anymore. But if they lower the price then I would say keep them on. But they are asking too much for that though.

My philosophy is if it is already off the lot and their is nothing in the paperwork that says you are getting stock rims instead Powder coated rims I do not think they can do anything.

Everytime I look at my car... or any lime green car, I always think of that one commercial where the guys is trying to sell his lime green civic hatch (or something like that) and his girlfriend tell him that no one will ever buy it. Then it sells to a guy that is totally obsessed with lime green. I wish I could find that commercial but I don't remember what it was for. heh. maybe ebay?

Anyways, I've been trying to think of nice rim colors for a lime green GC. Black is nice, I wonder what else would go good with it. I'm too lazy to Photoshop it and nothing on tire rack looked any good.

uber sexi color choice:bowdown:. the black wheels make the green pop alot. although those oem wheels arent worth dealer prices. stupid markups:woah::woah: i bet u give it like a month of good searching u could find better lookin rims possibly cheaper.
