Just finished installing my supertones hella horns. Install was pretty easy if your good with wiring. I made the support bracket out of this metal bar with holes in it from the plumbing section of Home Depot. All the wiring I made myself with standard 14 gauge wire. Difficulty out of 5 I'd give it a 3. 3 being because making all of the wires and figuring out where to place all the wires took long. Overall, the sound of these horns are very loud.

Here are what the horns look like.

Now a little further.

And the furthest.

And the horns behind the OEM grill.

Its difficult to see the horns behind the oem grill cause of the way the grill is made, but I have a luxon grill on the way so it will show even better.

None with a GC at the moment but here is the comparison between stock STI horn and hella horn. Also, idk why but these horns are very popular among subaru owners for some reason.

YES!!! I was already planning on this, but with an M&S grill so that you can see them... Definitely will look killer on the black car.

Any chance you could make a "Step-by-Step" to make our lives a bit easier. I'm above avg with wiring but def not a pro...

They are actually just a little darker red than the factory red on my R-Spec

here is a pic of them installed on my car:

They are way better than the stock horns, but honestly sound like a old VW Beetle's horn on steroids IMHO.

Im installing them this weekend. any tips?

Fairly easy/straight forward & you can use your stock mounting brackets, just drill the hole out a little larger to accomodate the new horns. Removed the bumper 1st to make access easy & bumper removal is rather simple....there are threads already on that DIY.

Tip: solder wires & heatshrink for safest most dependable connection.

I have had mine sitting and waiting. i bought mine for my weekend project. the oem horn on the genesis is not that bad compared to the subys or mazda horns. Also I'm anxious so the genesis may just end up with them.

Thanks, I will be removing the bumper to fix another issue that came up with the injen intake which is why i decided to get these bad boys :)

My friend installed them on his genesis and mentioned some wiring work but all that stuff is beyond me :/ hopefully he comes and helps lol

Where is a good place to buy the male/female terminals, fuse, and wire for this project?

Ok, so a couple things:

1. It sounds like only the low-pitch horn is working. My horn sounds AWFUL right now and by no means is the sound fierce. I'm going to have to go back and do some diagnosing. Any ideas what might be going wrong?

2. I mounted the relay within the engine bay and protected it from heat so that the relay isn't exposed to moisture or whatever can come through the front billet grille.

3. Everyone already knows this...taking off the grille SUCKS. I actually took the interior screws out from under the car. I didn't want to bend the plastic to its limit/snap something. A cleaner/safer way to do it IMO.

4. I used corrugated tubing and lots and lots of electrical tape to house/protect all the wiring.

test out the faulty horn with 12v directly to battery
if it doesnt work problem is the horn

if it works, problem is wiring, either bad contact or didnt wire correctly

my install didnt work the first time when i realized the problem was my ground... isnt easy to find a good stealth ground on genesis

I grounded the relay (which I placed in the engine bay) where the neck of the windshield washer fluid container is connected to the car. I scraped off the paint with a razor blade to expose the metal. I grounded the horns to the metal where I bolted on the horns to the car (scraped the paint off the arm of the horn to expose the metal there, too).

I don't know why my horns were not working. I took my car apart again just now, and once I did, the horns worked.
