Hearing a rattle noise when in neutral, not moving, and foot is off the clutch. When I press on the clutch the rattle goes away. If I turn the car off with my foot off the clutch it rattles and when I shut it off with my foot on the clutch the rattling noise goes away. What is this?

It sounds more like an in between of fluttering and rattling it going away sometimes but it’s pretty consistent
lol, I have this. I haven't had any problems yet. 95k miles. You're already well out of warranty so drive it till the clutch burns out and replace it all whole-cloth.
Hmmmm, in that case I'm sorry to be so glib. I highly doubt it's the trans, but I hedge my bets. Specifically I have another gearbox in reserve. They aren't terribly expensive. Maybe start a potential budget for that? You are pretty high in miles so it may soon be time for a tranny refresh regardless. Don't know what else to tell you. Any professional inspection is going to take you so high in price you might as well swap the parts.
