Hi, I'm new, so bear with me, I've got a 2010 2.0 T, automatic, when I'd turn the key to start it, you could hear the pump or regulator, I'm not sure, hum briefly from the fuel pump assembly under the back seat, the car starts. Now it's hit and miss when it works. When I don't hear that initial hum once the key is turned, but not cranked yet, then I know it's not gonna start, it just cranks over. When it does start, there are times when driving it that I lose all power, it shuts down but not off, like its drowning in its own fuel, no response, no nothing, just goes to a crawl and stops. I shut it off, and most often after 10 or 20 minutes of turning the key, you might hear it engage from the assembly, it usually starts then. But not a guarantee it won't do it again within a mile or 2.
Car has 44000 miles on it, I bought it new, only performance upgrades is a cold air intake system.
I did replace the fuel assembly in it 7000 miles ago, due to the fuel pump(i thought) assembly I put in it had 90000 miles on it, I was told my fuel pump had went out due to not driving it as often as it needed to be and it stayed in storage for long periods of time. And help is appreciated. Thank You
