Hi guy's, I'm new to the community. I bought a 2010 Genesis Coupe 2.0T recently and i was driving it yesterday and check engine light came on. I hooked it to my OBD scanner and P0014 Camshaft Position Sensor Over Advanced Bank 1.

Problem is i cannot find any videos or literature on the location of the sensor to change it out. Was hoping someone had some knowledge of the location.

Thank you

It's probably the sensor working as it should and telling you the cam is over advanced. More than likely a cam phaser issue. If a lot of miles may be a timing chain issue. It's located near the engine lift strap on the rear of the motor.

P0014 Camshaft position (CMP) actuator, exhaust/right/rear, bank 1 – timing over-advanced/system performance Valve timing, engine mechanical fault, CMP actuator

I have the same problem. " "B" camshaft position - timing over advanced or system performance bank 1" it runs well and everything sounds good but the check engine keeps coming back on with same code P0014. The car has only 114k miles and i rebuilt the engine. Timing chain was set good and the timing chain tensioner was all good. Please help!!
