Sensors are on the sides of the head, towards the back of the engine.

It's probably the sensor working as it should and telling you the cam is over advanced. More than likely a cam phaser issue. If a lot of miles may be a timing chain issue. It's located near the engine lift strap on the rear of the motor.

I have the same problem. " "B" camshaft position - timing over advanced or system performance bank 1" it runs well and everything sounds good but the check engine keeps coming back on with same code P0014. The car has only 114k miles and i rebuilt the engine. Timing chain was set good and the timing chain tensioner was all good. Please help!!

 

Yea I’m having the same problem cam shaft position bank 2 but my engine light flashes and it also put codes out for cylinder 1-3-5 and then the car doesn’t really accelerate just bit by bit but sounds rough kinda jerks at times to.

 

My car turns the check engine light on but the car runs 100% good. I don't know what to do

 

I have a 2012 2.0t I got the P0014 code after my check engine came on. It drives smoothly and I don’t notice any issues. Hopefully it is just the camshaft sensor. If replacing it dosent work what should I do?

 

Got a lot of miles? Might be the timing chain. You would have to take the cam cover off to see.

Gm. I have a 2012 .3.8 engine genses. I can't find bank A to replace.smh
